Michael Andretti ORG Home Garage Makeover

A look inside the impressive garage of IZOD IndyCar team owner and Celebrity Apprentice contestant Michael Andretti.

He may live and work in the fast lane, but the legendary race car driver and his family enjoy the calm and tranquility in their home garage. After a showroom-style makeover by ORG Home organization, Michael opens their doors to reveal a garage full of redesigned spaces any car enthusiast, celebrity, business owner and family man would be proud to own.

While Michael has seen his share of garages, none compare to the one he finds at the end of his driveway each day. “My ORG Home garage is beautiful,” he says. “The whole solution was custom designed for us. We couldn’t ask for anything better.”

Designing Andretti’s garage

During every ORG Home in-home consultation, an experienced designer gains an understanding of the owner's needs, then translates them into a personalized design. Michael and his wife, Jodi, had their own vision for their revamped garage spaces. While functional storage was essential, the aesthetics played an equal role in the design process. “It was important to me and my wife, Jodi, that our garage could reflect the same level of style as the rest of our home,” said Michael.

A place for everything

Like many families in America, the Andrettis lead an active lifestyle and need storage solutions to support their everyday activities. Racing is their primary passion, but they also enjoy snowmobiling, boating, and other outdoor recreational activities. These varied pursuits drive a need to keep all their gear organized and easily accessible.

A pit stop for scooters
Another special feature of Andretti’s garage is the designated parking and storage space for their three scooters.

The back walls are equipped with the ORGwall system featuring snap-and-lock hooks and baskets for holding helmets, keys, jackets, and more. The light Dover White color of the ORGwall complements the existing trim in the garage.

Exciting finishes

To blend with the Andretti home’s old world charm, Copper Blaze cabinets and textured work surfaces were used throughout the garage. A classic color palette was applied to appeal to Andretti’s aesthetic needs.“We wanted something that wouldn’t go out of style. The color is universal and it’s so rich,” said Jodi.

Tall ORG Home cabinets serve as the family’s primary storage for holiday decorations and outdoor equipment.
